We provide a kennel-free environment including three large outdoor play yards containing sturdy doggie friendly playground equipment and pools in the summertime, as well as an indoor area where dogs can go to get out of inclement weather. Our enthusiastic “yard-dog” team ensures a safe and fun atmosphere where groups of like-minded social dogs can interact and play. At the end of the day, dogs return home mentally and physically exhausted but HAPPY and FULFILLED!
The benefits of socialized daycare for animals have been well documented. Pets left solo for extended periods of time are often prime candidates for mischief, ‘bad’ behavior and anxiety caused by loneliness or boredom. Is your dog one that is well behaved when you are home, but when left alone seems to forget his or her manners? Inappropriate behaviors such as chewing furniture, soiling the carpet or floors, barking or digging in the yard are often the result of what a bored or lonely dog with excess energy might do. A simple lack of basic socialization (because we humans are so busy) can lead to unbalanced dogs which react aggressively towards other dogs or people. Often, even just one or two days a week of properly supervised daycare can reduce or even eliminate many of these behaviors.
Requirements for Daycare at Run-A-Muk
- Successful completion of our on-site 4-hour “temperament assessment” by reservation (not a walk-in service)
- A maxiumum of four assessments per day are scheduled Monday-Thursday, no earlier than 9:00 a.m. and no later than 1:00 p.m. Please note: Assessments cannot be scheduled during weekends or holiday periods.
- Current and complete Vaccination records from your veterinarian for:
- Rabies
- Distemper/Parvo
- Bordetella
- ALL DOGS must be Spayed or Neutered
- Dogs equipped with flat buckle collar and attached NAME tag (no chain, prong, martingale collars allowed)
- Completed Client, Pet Information & Dog Waiver forms
